While everyone had their eyes glued on Ahmed Mohammed and the controversial case of his arrest last week, a very different story hit headlines early morning Tuesday. Now everyone is talking about John Smith, the white middle class Christian kid out of Jacksonville, Oklahoma, who brought a bomb to school, and won first place in the local alarm clock contest. Here are the details:
John Smith, a 14 year old normal white adolescent attending Emerson High School, arrived on time to his class at 8:00 am. He walked up to his professor and zipped open his backpack, presenting the professor with a bomb in a metal briefcase. The professor upon seeing the explosive combination of wires and TNT, grinned and told him to enter the piece into the local Alarm Clock Contest (ACC), which had just opened a few hours earlier.
John Smith did just that during his break.
No one was more surprised than John when at the end of the day he was was handed First Prize by the principal of his school as well as the local sheriff.
“There is no way you wouldn’t wake up if you had this alarm clock. In fact it encourages you to wake up before it goes off.” claimed the beaming Sheriff while he enthusiastically shook John’s hand.
“Most clocks in the contest were just alarm clocks, but John Smith went out of his way to create a perfect piece of engineering. This is an exceptional clock with an exceptional message.” told us the Principal who didn’t want to clarify what the message was.
