Fortuna Board to Match External Sponsorship with Cookies

After the last General Assembly, the Fortuna Board was left with scraps on the cutting room floor. Their idea for a sponsorship fund is still postponed, as the Fortuna budget awaits further development. In the meantime, the Fortuna Board has devised an entirely new plan.
The original plan arose because the Fortuna budget is a fixed sum, and so the Board wanted to encourage committee boards to seek external sponsorship. The Fortuna Board proposed to match any outside sponsorship by half the amount. This was nixed by students at the Fortuna GA in September; the funds frozen, until the plan was refined.
“This new plan is much tastier,” the Fortuna CAO, now part-time baker, explained in his flour-stained apron. “Committees which get external sponsors will earn a batch of my famous chocolate-chip cookies.”
“It serves the same purpose, without costing us as much money,” Fortuna Treasurer now taste-tester explained.
And this plan is not completely ‘bananas’ as some students have claimed. The board is right on two counts. Firstly, the plan is much more affordable, and secondly, the cookies are in fact much more delicious than the previous budget.
“All in all, it’s much more digestible,” a third year said, before making a ba-dum-tss on the first-floor drum set.
“I want to run for Chair now!” said an excited first year. “They also get cookies!”
