A shocking new report has revealed that students of Leiden University College The Hague are 6% poorer compared to previous years.

Whilst expenses vary from student to student at LUC, with expenditures ranging from buying Grolsch to Heineken, across the board LUC students are on average 6% poorer. Experts are pointing the finger at Dagelijks Lekker, who last year raised their prices from €1.80 to €1.90 per sandwich. At the time, pundits predicted the end of the LUC favourite by pointing out students would simply walk ever so slightly further away for food, but experts have been baffled by Dagelijks Lekker’s continued popularity in the LUC community. “LUC students must feel a very strong brand loyalty” one expert commented, adding “I mean how else can you explain them not just leaving the Anna Van Buerenplein area?” With experts baffled, it remains anybody’s guess how the student body will adapt to this change.

We tried to reach out to Dagelijks Lekker for comment, but ended up just buying their latest broodje van de maand instead.
